Meet Our Team
Here at Abacus Day Nursery, we recognise the importance of retaining excellent and dedicated staff, to provide consistency in relationships with the children and their parents. Our dedicated and experienced team of nursery nurses have been here at Abacus for a collective 100 years! What stronger testament could we possibly offer for the confidence and dedication they have to our excellence.
All our staff are keen to continue their personal development, completing appropriate training courses. The majority of our staff are First Aid trained, ensuring that there is always a minimum of one first aider on site at all times.
General Manager ＆ SENDCo
I have worked at Abacus since 2007. I have a Foundation Degree in Early Years and Childhood Studies. As well as this I also have a Level 5 in Leadership and Management. I am the nursery's Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo), through which I promote learning inclusion for all children who may need additional support. I have worked across all ages in the nursery, most recently as the room leader with the toddlers. I enjoy observing children learn and progress towards the EYFS Early Learning Goals through the implementation of active and challenging activities. Currently I am office based to take charge of managerial duties.
